Switching PPI's

Hi! I use to post about two months ago and now have another question. I was taking prevacid 30mg and just switched to nexium 40mg. Does the nexium have to build up in my system like the prevacid did? Or should the nexium just pick up where the prevacid left off? Thanks for you input!!!!

Hi Tammy,

There is no easy answer to that question!! But, the best answer I can give you is that it may take 2-3 weeks for the Nexium to kick in. Hang in there!! :)
