I would like to hear from anyone who has had this procedure done. In addition to heartburn and chest pain, I also have
breathing difficulties--shortness of breath. My doctor thinks
that I am a good candidate for enteryx because medication
hasn't helped my heartburn or chest pain, but he is blowing
me off when it comes to shortness of breath. Have had all of the usual tests-upper GI, manometry, endoscopy etc. I do have
a hiatal hernia.

I am so glad you said the doctor will do this procedure even though you have a hiatel hernia. I thought that a hernia precluded the stretta, etc. Re breathing. There are times when I can't breath. THe doc said acid goes into the lungs and interferes. Your doc isn't very up on things, is he? Can you tell me what your doc said the Enteryx treatment is all about? Isn't it experimental only?
