hi everyone i think my stress and anxiety are making my gerd symtoms worse but was is happening is that i am loosing weight without my will do you think that taking antidepressant will make me gain me some weight
best regards
Hi Dansmi,
Good to see you. Even though, we always meet to talk about sickness.....but, hey.....that's the nature of our meeting, isn't it? ;)
Historically, when anything is stressing me out I would always lose weight. Most people, I hear, do the opposite and put on the weight. Depression itself can make most want to go do the "comfort food" routine and just pig out. But, you and I aren' t like that it seems.
However, I can attest to the fact of antidepressants just loading up the pounds around my house. My wife was on Effexor for 5 years and she gained 50 pounds! Btw, the docs should've taken her off of it after no more than 2 years. Funny, how they had no reaction to us reminding them about this fact from the makers of the drug......long after she'd done the 'damage'.
I do know, the with GERD suffering, one can't eat too much anyway.....which adds to your problem, I'm sure.
Hope you find the correct path to wellness soon Dansmi.
