protonix side affect

Hi,

I recently switched to protonix but have been having abdominal pains all over on and off but mostly afternoon on. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms. The pain in in my abdomen but also on my flanks and around the back later in the day. Im taking 1 4o mg in the morn and 1 40mg at night. Thanks for your help in advance.

You might try drinking more water. I think I read that the PPI drugs can be associated with kidney stone formation. Your pain is in a region that might be from the kidneys (however there's lotsa other stuff in there too, so this might not be the cause of your pain)

However drinking more water is a simple thing to do, and it usually does not hurt us.

Af is right, lots of stuff can cause that type of pain, kidney stones or infection, bowel problems are also a major cause of side, back and stomach pain
