Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone ever heard of this nerve. My DH is going to be tested for this on Monday ?
He does have gurd and is taking Prilosec and has been for years. He's been walking on the treadmill and has been getting this pain in his chest that goes to his back. He thought it was gas, because he can usually walk through the pain.. He had a EKG so we know it's not his heart. Well , his DR. doesn't think so anyway... anyone ever here of this nerve ? I'm probably spelling it wrong?
Thanks...Sissy :)

"Vegas nerve".....isn't that what you get when you are confident to go gambling? :p ....just teasin ya Sissy!

Yeah, the vagus is the nerve a couple of my doctors and nurses spoke of when I had my heart attack a few months ago. That's why they are saying more and more now that "heartburn and heart problems go hand-in-hand". In other words....it's what makes it so dang hard to distinguish between the two sometimes. Although, for my "event" it was DEFINITELY a HUGE difference. I had the ever infamous "elephant on the chest" feeling. VERY, very painful experience. Very scary....and I've been through a lot of scares in my life!
